At Professional Counseling Services, we strive to make paying for your sessions simple and convenient. We offer multiple payment methods to suit your needs, ensuring your experience with us is as seamless as possible.

Online Credit Card Payments

For your convenience, you can pay securely through our online payment portal using a credit or debit card. Please note that a 3.5% processing fee will be applied to all credit card transactions to cover the costs of payment processing.

Why Consider Self-Pay Therapy?

While insurance can help cover therapy costs, some clients choose self-pay therapy for added privacy, flexibility, and control over their care. Here’s why:

1. No Insurance Restrictions
Insurance companies often limit the number of sessions, require a mental health diagnosis, or dictate treatment plans. With self-pay, you and your therapist decide what works best for you—without interference.

2. Complete Confidentiality
When using insurance, therapy sessions must be documented for claims processing. With self-pay, your records remain completely private—no information is shared with insurance providers.

3. Freedom to Choose Your Therapist
Many highly experienced therapists do not contract with insurance due to reimbursement limitations. Self-pay allows you to work with the therapist of your choice without network restrictions.

4. No Surprise Costs
With insurance, deductibles, co-pays, and out-of-pocket maximums can make therapy costs unpredictable. Self-pay gives you full transparency on session rates so there are no unexpected charges.

We currently accept insurance from the following providers:

How to Verify Insurance Coverage
Before scheduling your session, we recommend contacting your insurance provider to confirm coverage and understand any co-pays, deductibles, or session limits that may apply.

To verify your coverage, ask your insurance provider:
Does my plan cover mental health therapy?
Do I have a co-pay or deductible for therapy sessions?
Is prior authorization required for therapy services?
How many therapy sessions are covered per year?

Out-of-Network Insurance Reimbursement

If your insurance provider is not listed above, you may still be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement. Many insurance plans allow clients to submit a superbill for partial reimbursement of therapy costs.

How Out-of-Network Reimbursement Works:
You pay for each session upfront.
We provide you with a superbill (a detailed receipt with necessary billing codes).
You submit the superbill to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
Your insurance may reimburse you for a portion of the session cost, depending on your plan.
